Observation:  Today’s ride continued on an area covered in a few earlier posts.  But what I found amazing was how much new art had been created just in the last few months.  I drove past this region of Southwest Detroit to complete rides earlier this year and most of these pieces were not here, so the development group over this region has really been busy.  I’m assuming because of this we have some Detroit area artists who actually made good money this year, which definitely makes me smile.  Kudos again Southwest Detroit!

D-Fact:  The Detroit River is actually a haven for bald eagles.  A few winters ago, a biologist for DTE estimated there were around 180 on them on the Detroit River and Lake Erie.
