Observation: This morning I road in one of the saddest parts of Detroit I have seen so far, right behind the Michigan State Fairgrounds. It seems to be 90% abandoned, with the only bright spot being when I found where the original Theatre Bizarre used to be held.
Distance: 10.78 miles
D-Fact: In 1998 at the cost of $300K, the largest stove in the world was erected at the Michigan State Fairgrounds. In a bizarre twist, the 15-ton, 25-foot-tall structure was destroyed in a fire in 2011.
Wow… Sad indeed. You captured it well….
