Observation: Garages in Detroit often are some of the more interesting structures. Some are filled to the rim with personal treasures, many are the first thing abandoned by the homeowners, some have become trash piles and tire collection depots for the masses, a number are just standing on their last ember-filled legs, and some have been abandoned for so long, nature has completely taken them over. Thinking about doing a series on just them alone.

D-Fact: Detroit has one of the largest salt mines in the world. It sprawls across 1,500 acres, contains more than 100 miles of road, and estimates show it could keep our food flavored for over 70,000 years.
