Observation: Stumbled upon another inland boat graveyard today with about 10-12 boats dropped in a field. Found out from a friend that criminals used to steal watercraft from peoples’ yards, take them to a field like the one I discovered today, dump the boat off (mostly fiberglass) and then turn in the trailer for scrap metal. The government, law enforcement, and recycling centers have put some policies in place to curb this activity, but still very sad to find these large collections and see such a waste of what you know was money saved for a very special purchase.

D-Fact: Anglim’s Bar, on Gratiot Avenue in Detroit, used to have an electrified chair that the bartender would switch on to jolt any unsuspecting customer.
