Metals on the Move

Observation:   Today’s ride was an exploration of a world in Detroit I don’t think too many of us see, but it’s what keeps the wheels in motion – tons of train depots and tracks transporting goods to/from the city, scrap yards recycling all the metals we crank through as consumers, and then one car graveyard after another.  Something a little unexpected I discovered at the end of my ride was a mercado (open market) filled with lots of cool, unique vendors and a place where Spanish was definitely being spoken more than English.  Will be returning here for sure someday when I am not so gross and sweaty.

Distance:  19.05 miles

D-Fact:  Detroit has more registered bowlers than any other city.
