How Many Tires is Enough?

Observation:  Two flats – that is what cut today’s ride short.  Because repairing and inflating can take a lot of time and sometimes I am in parts of the city that I probably shouldn’t hang out in for too long, I have taken to carrying a spare tire and a CO2 cartridge (instant inflating) on these rides.  But I never thought I would get two flats on a ride…which is kind of funny because there is glass EVERYWHERE.  But today’s flats were caused by glass for round one and total user error for round two, so I can’t be too mad.

PS – If you look thru the pics below, you might notice the two adorable and well-manicured houses in the mix.  The reason I included them is the words above the doors – “Hers” and “His”.  I assume this is a couple that bought houses next door to each other, fixed them both up, and made it such that they have their own space as needed.  🙂

Distance:  39.04 miles

D-Fact:  The Detroit River is not a river. It’s a strait, connecting Lake St. Clair to Lake Erie.
